"Now you show me where the American car "subsidies" are."

That's got to be one of the dumbest things you've ever said:

Ted, > Why do you think American gas is so much cheaper than everywhere except in the oil producing countries? Explain that one to me.

Because we actually have some domestic oil production.

We produce less than 1/3 of the oil we consume. That means we import over 2/3. Why would you allow gas to remain cheap? It doesn't make economic sense.

Korea, for example, has to import 100% of its oil. Hence gas prices are double that of America. Same with Japan.

Europe has tons of taxes on oil and gas, which is why their gas is also expensive.

The wise economist doesn't plan for today.......s/he plans for the future. Norway is a net exporter of oil.......guess who has the most expense gas? Come on....guess. Then guess who else is in the top 5 for gas prices....the UK and the Netherlands......they produce some of the oil which they consume. Now look where the US is.......down with the Arab net oil exporters:

Now you tell me who has the more intelligent economic policies.
How long do you want the US to remain stupid?

Now you show me where the American car "subsidies" are.

Think about it when you are driving home tonite......it should come to you just by looking straight ahead.
