We dumped a trillion dollars into Iraq and were told that we needed to do so because "we want to fight them there, so that we do not have to fight them here.". So how did these terrorists set foot in the US when we are supposed to be fighting t hem there? Or maybe we need to bring our troops back and the money saved by doing so could be spent to tighten our Homeland security. And are you advocating that if we keep bashing Muslims in the military then the folks like the Ft. hood shooter would never arise. Are you aware how the Ft. Hood shooter became a terrorist is the first place? The hate of Muslims was rampant in the military. Many folks volunteered in the military so that "they could go and kill the evil Muslims". So finally, the folks in Ft. Hood got what they themselves invited. This is a democracy where we the civilian people. Today, we have a President who has been elected with a overwhelming majority, the likes of which we have not seen for the past decade. He represents us and no military person including Gen. McChrystal can take this power away and take the military on a joy ride.
