Bill,
NTT has plans to start a nationwide buildout of an internet backbone, Ascend as it stands now will be the sole supplier. We should start to see revenues from that contract in Q1 98'.

CSCO is the MSFT in NW, if they want to get into some market, their share will certainly go from 0% to x% at the beginning. The question is will they go from x% to 2x%, 3x%, et al.

If the rev. would fall short, why the new CFO Michael Ashby put his reputation and his career on the line (he's only 48, too early to retire yet) saying (after 3 days in the office) that the company is COMFORTABLE with 4th qrt and FY1998's consensus? There is a lot of fear right now, exactly the same as CSCO at 40s and PAIR at teens. Just think about which company CSCO fears/hates/bashes most?
