I'm a sports fan! ... Not a homer! ... I don't lock myself into just American sports. ... I watch any professional sport where the best talent shows up, regardless of whether it's in the USA or elsewhere, even if it were to be tiddly-winks.

A few months ago, I was watching an Australian rules football game. Now that's a fun game! Anyway, the score was something like 136-36. The Aussie announcer said, this isn't America where you have to worry about running up the score. Even though they are up by 100 points, Aussie fans expect your best for the entire game, score be damned. ... I'm in agreement with that.

It's a joy to watch foreign sports where you're expected to give your all, score be damned, and most of their athletes aren't on steroids.

Not only that, but once the game starts with foreign sports, no time outs or commercials. They have a flow to the game. Commercials come at half time.

Soccer (the real football) is growing in this country! Get used to it. When you have ESPN and ABC broadcasting games, you know more is coming. The US is going to bid for the World Cup! You watch!

Some of us are on the leading edge of sports trends! The rest are Sports Heathens! <lol>
