The United States or Europe could both produce far more than products than there is world demand, and both could double their production beyond that over the next five years - if they wanted to.

And the point of that would be to . . . ?

China has the ability to produce a large amount of products not demanded by other nations, yet priced beyond the ability of the Chinese public to purchase due to low incomes. That sounds a lot more like a problem than a gleaming future.
