Re: NationsBank

I know NationsBank was trying to do the work in-house several months ago, and I know they quickly came to the conclusion they needed outside help. I'm sure their Y2K guy has fielded calls from every Y2K company on the planet, especially now that they've put a $100M price tag on the project. Yes, people from Charlotte (the home of NationsBank and ALYD) tell me the same thing you told me. However, although they have been on my ALYD list for some time as a potential client, I have absolutely no details that would confirm or deny anything concrete has been worked out between the two.

With a project that large, I'm sure NationsBank will give code to several vendors to remediate. Then they will probably choose one to do a pilot (1-5M lines), and, if that works out, sign a major contract with that vendor later. I doubt we'll see any definitive news on who they select until early '98. But I have my fingers crossed as to who I hope the vendor will be-- and it certainly does not hurt to be the hometown favorite (gg).
