Here we are again...AOL reports earnings, the bears come out in droves! It wouldn't be normal otherwise. After wading through the posts, I saw various comments about AOL will tank to $30 (whatever), subscriber numbers false, the internet will kill AOL, advertisers flocking away, etc. etc. I think the only pertinent and factual comment was made by Todd - about ad revenues.

I don't know where this thread got sidetracked on the history of computers - everyone go rent/see Triumph of the Nerds - that will put an end to that.

Short term volatility is great for traders - ho hum for long term investors. I haven't sifted through all the numbers yet, the conference call, etc. Bottom line is AOL met street expectations, with sale of XCIT .04 over at .16.

Time to get some work done...
