Obama campaigned on the premise that he would pull out of Iraq and instead focus on Afghanistan. He has done so and has carried on a massive military campaign in the AfPak border using drones etc. He has consistently proclaimed his commitment to the Afghan war and with the appointment of a proven General in Petraeus he has reiterated that commitment. I like his setting a timeline, setting a goal and defining what success in the war means and putting America's best foot forward. Come June 2011 the game ends.
