Tim Pawlenty will be the Republican candidate in 2012, IMO.
He should get 2-terms, with the 2nd being Hoover/GWB-like.

Very true. Both parties are tending towards the extremists, which is why we so sorely need a centrist 3rd party candidate.

Romney has the resume. He also has the ability to transform into anything - liberal (R) MA guv, conservative wingnut (R) national candidate..

But, he's a Mormon. A Mormon who achieved a high church position. I live in SLC, and have learned of them. If the rest of the country learns of them, he won't be pres.

Jesus is outranked and can be overruled by the current prophet in SLC. Need I say more?

I'm not bothered. To me, all religions are just primitive superstitions. I'm fairly sure that Romney is a dutiful fake Mormon, just as most Americans are dutiful fake Christians.
