I know someone who met him in summer 2008 when he was on the short list for running mates for McCain. He's a very nice family guy who would score well on the beer test against Obama. He's likely the only governor the Republicans have who is capable of being elected. He's got a book coming out this summer as well, which everyone knows is mandatory if you're running for the White House. Fiscally conservative, socially moderate to conservative, young but not too young, and a very nice looking family. No baggage, and his state is in great shape relative to the rest of the US.
