nah, I meant McCrystal's ouster is not related to why or whether we are there, which the dude was trying to say. I agree on your point re taliban and aq however... as to nation building... it is not unlike what we expect from BP. by helping to create the groups who fought against the russians, we helped to create the mess there. then we overthrew their govt (such as it was) because of our own interests. and then we just leave??? we bombed Iraq, which had good infrustructure, into crapness and all these years later people are doing with only a bit of power per day. we broke it and we don't seem to be interested in fixing it. oh, but BP should pay and pay to us?
