Terrible news again on WDC and what a day to release it. Still have 1k of WDC. Seems like leaks again or speculation in the last few days on WDC.

There was a statement:

Western Digital Corporation NYSE:WDC) today announced that its second
quarter results would be impacted by significantly higher-than-normal competitive pricing pressures in the desktop hard-drive business, as well as product mix and cost issues associated with the Company's last desktop drives with thin film inductive head technology.

Also:

Additionally, the company is considering taking potential non-recurring charges in the range of $15 million to $30 million.
The actions being contemplated are associated with the company's phase-out of thin-film head products in favor of hard drives featuring newer magneto-resistive heads.

I wonder if that means that they are paying more for these from APM than they feel they can absorb?

Have you seen employment figure yet?
