Pilate was very wise. As I get older and learn more about how we believe things work at both the quantum level and the relative level it has begun to dawn on me that maybe there is no such concept as truth. I am pretty confident there is no such thing as absolute truth.

As for your other questions, I have no answers for them. It is very easy to let others do your thinking for you, which probably explains some of the popularity of religion. It is a constant struggle for me to question everything I hear/read, but it's also fun in a strange way. The world is not what it seems to be. It's much more interesting.

"What if all the scoffers and those eager to point out the hypocrisies of would-be followers become too busy to see truth embodied and miss ... well ... e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g." I guess I'm not getting what the "truth" is. There is no f'n truth. And Jesus is a fictional character.

root, a current christian knows god is real.

faith isn't that god exists, it is a belief that god will do what god says he will do.

this world is a mess - just as prophesied. the bible refers to the world now as being controlled by satan.

it is actually possible to falsify god - just have humanity get along in peace. that's impossible according to the author of the bible (without the future direct intervention of god at jesus' 2nd coming, anyway).

god will work with all people at some point in time (ezekiel 37 for a glimpse of how this applies to ancient israel).

trying one's best to be a good person and waiting for god's timing is the best approach - even if you don't believe in god.

the bible is clear that jesus was nothing special in the looks department.

i'm sure some ruler somewhere created the image to, well, look a lot like himself - for obvious reasons.
