Santander made some BIG investments in South America, especially Brazil, about 4-5 years ago. Brazil GDP is up about 9% this year, and their credit rating has been up grade twice in the past five years.

So a review of the banks loans would have many of them being UPGRADED in quality.

The good news here is that 100% of the world's bankers have not been stupid, just about 85%....
