Yes, a strong message must be sent to Big Oil that when you cut corners and don't use best in class industry starndards then you will pay BIG TIME....BP is known as a ruthless cost cutter and has a record number of safety violations -- even before this Macondo well blowout in the Gulf...the question is why did our government look the other way and give BP the right to do ultra-risky deep water drilling given their track record...?? Maybe it's because of BP's power and influence...or maybe because BP is the largest supplier of fuel to our military...Hmmm....
