ECRI's Weekly Leading Index dropped again to -6.9% and last week's was revised downwards to -5.8. So the slowdown continues. The trend can now be said to be pronounced and persistent. I guess we're just waiting for pervasive before ECRI will start talking about a double dip scenario in the cards. I am just amazed that the S&P 500 has held up so well. We should be below 1,000 based on fundamentals.
