The time is upon us ... Mexico's war.

"Even by the standards of Mexico's drug war, June has been bad. In a single 24-hour span, 85 people were killed, the worst one-day toll in more than a year and a half. In just a week, more than 120 turned up dead. In the northwestern state of Sinaloa—where one victim recently had his face peeled off and stitched to a soccer ball—prisoners at the Mazatlán jail unleashed an attack that left 29 dead. In President Felipe Calderón's home state, Michoacán, suspected members of La Familia gang ambushed federal officers with a machine gun. Twelve more dead, 13 wounded."

Private enterprise is producing capability at a tenth of the cost NASA is able to do and will soon replace space shuttle technology.

Inode, > Not if the O-man has his way ...

I think you know this already, but rich and poor doesn't go away in a socialism. It's even worse when you're somewhere in the middle between socialism and capitalism.

In both cases, it's not whether you are able or whether you are in need. It's always about who you know. Even the most altruistic central planner will necessarily favor those in his or her social or political circles. And most central planners are NOT altruistic.

More on Mexico's war...

"This is going to happen to every civilian and policemen that collaborates with the Gulf Cartel, signed Z."

This is the note pined to 4 of the 5 victims' chests with an ice pick. The bodies of two women and three men, one of them beheaded, were found on a dirt road in the outskirts of Monterrey, Mexico.
