Well actually it's not a rock but History says it is a meteorite that ancients seen falling so the pagans of those days began to worship this meteorite. Now along comes mohamed who wanted to convert the pagans to his new religion so he let them keep their worship of their meteorite and their moon god as long as they joined and supported him. Actually I suppose pretty smart for a guy who could neither read or write...well so says history.
