Soccer fan psychology observation -- yesterday USA lost to Ghana at the World Cup and the American viewing audience felt bummed...down for awhile but, back to normal today. They didn't for one moment however start bad mouthing the US soccer team. On the other hand, British soccer fans today cause an outside observer to wonder if they've ever entertained the thought of being classic 'fair weather friends'. Soon as their team lost to Germany, the nasty remarks about their players began -- things like they're 'unrepresentative'...suppose that means the British people are not losers like their soccer team:)

The truth is the soccer fans do look like authentic losers when they only support their team when it wins - turn their backs & start pointing fingers when the team loses. Why this sharp cultural disconnect between the 2 countries?..human behavior can be fascinating.
