Our own DNA is packed with viral fragments we've encountered in our evolution. Who knows?, it may have been some virus that gave us the tweak we needed to develop opposable thumbs, or intelligence and self-awareness.

I'm not sure that Ten understands that, at some point in the past, there emerged a one-celled organism that began ALL life. It may have gotten it's magic from a virus.
