Before Bush II, I was a lifelong Republican. I donated considerable time and money to "the cause" because I was convinced that they shared my system of values. In effect, I was young and naïve. During the reign of Bush II, when the all three branches of the Federal government were fully under Republican control for six consecutive years, we all watched in astonishment as they did absolutely nothing to advance Conservative ideals and principles in the United States. In fact, they behaved very much like the despicable Liberals they had railed against for years! === what's not to like? -g-
