Custer made the same mistake MacArthur made in Korea. He divided his troops in the face of a superior enemy force. Which sounds stupid, until you realize that neither commander realized he was facing a superior force until it was too late. Custer's experience had been that you attack a camp and the warriors run away. So, he divided his troops to cut off their escape. Danged if they didn't change tactics. <G>

Home of idiotic and comic politicians, South Carolina has partially redeemed itself by putting two baseball teams into the final four of The College World Series. Either Clemson or South Carolina will win to face UCLA for the title. That is quite an athletic accomplishment for a small state.
