I used to several of those exact stocks.

(Sold after price run-ups....)

But the nuanced details of a particular judicial canon of ethics is a bit BEYOND my expertise ---- believe the exact rules thereof, and the enforcement and application of them is most likely up to a specific panel of judges for the district.

One thing I *do* know though is that much stress is placed upon the concept of avoiding not only OBVIOUS and specifically direct conflicts of interest by judges, but also avoiding the public PERCEPTION of conflict of interest... the appearance of conflict of interest.

for the very good reason that any appearances of conflict of interest with judges causes the public to lose respect for the institution....
