About 13 years ago or more I sat in on an early internet wine tasting of what now is a cult wine: Cloudy Bay SB. Robin Garr came up with the phrase: cat pee on a mulberry bush which actually nails that wine's nose.

There is a shrub: boxwood, that has the same aroma and that is one that is quite common for Sauv. Bl. I prefer aromas of boxwood and jalapeno (lol)

Nice article in the WSJ yesterday on descriptions. Very basic but should be adequate for most wine tastings. When I taught wine appreciation (very basic stuff), I used the wine wheel that Beringer used at their winery classes. MP
