Exactly. There are LOTS of markets and niches that are too small for the big guys.

People who think big business is going to take over everything really don't know how things work.

It further boggles my mind to see these same people giving up control to big government.


Because I've made a significant part of my living off of medical office systems over the last 20 years, I must admit to having been a little put off when Walmart started selling a competing ASP-based system through Sam's Club:

Even complex database systems are no longer protected from the tentacles of Walmart. And the system they're selling is pretty decent, IMO. Whether eClinical can take care of the customers is as yet unknown.

Still, you make adjustments to your game plan and move forward. You can't freaking panic because Walmart gets into the same business you're in. I'll be long dead before these guys are able to provide the kind of service and support we do, and ultimately, that's what makes the difference.
