I'm a big fan of "Live every day as though it were your last". It can all be over in the blink of an eye.

Sadly, it was poor judgment to have a child anywhere near where she could possibly fall in.

We could have had that scenario at Hause Creek with the family camped near the river. The Tieton was raging, and that family had wee little ones. May be the reason they moved up the hill was to keep the kids away from the River.
