all governments throughout history are corrupt. almost every one turned corrupt to the core at some point.

the founding fathers understood this. they especially understood that a large centralized government is the worst of all because it represents a single mode of failure with the result being slavery for the masses.

that's why they created a number of smaller governments united by a very limited government - read the founding documents.

under their plan, if you wanted to institute tyranny over the american citizens, you had to fight each and every state - that's a lot of work and likely impossible as the remaining states would rebel long before all 50 were captured.

"united states" of america has meaning. the states were preeminent. BY DESIGN.

"federal american states" was not the model and name chosen. BY DESIGN.

americans were warned against giving up liberty for TEMPORARY safety. it was understood that this would be a set up so americans would LOSE both liberty AND safety.

history has proven beyond any doubt that "reasonable human government" is as prevalent as flying pink unicorns.

i wish it were not true, but i deal in reality.
