Keynesian economics is being used to defend massive government waste. Nobel prize-winning laureate Paul Krugman won't admit to it because he's a Democrat.

Uh......in the GS 20 meeting this past weekend, the Euros announced they are doing exactly what you wingers want them to do......cut their deficits. Obama asked them not to.

Check out where the Euro is today and the Dow. If the Euros are stupid enough to do what wingers want, we go into a Depression ala Herbert Hoover. The markets know it....so do the currency markets. Do you know who Herbert Hoover is? He's a big winger. Read up about him.

Gotta ask yourself what Krugman would do differently if he were in charge. It's obvious he thinks the problem with "stimulus" is that we don't have enough.

Yes, of course. This is the nonsense that spews from the Left.

The one thing they can't quite comprehend is the fact that the New Deal was an abject failure. As we now know, FDR prolonged the Depression with the New Deal policy. And Krugman wants to do the same old crap.

An old economics prof. told me one time, "Son, in economics the answers never change; only the questions do". He was right. If you're a liberal you automatically see government spending as the solution to all problems.

"It's better than just sitting around and watching the market continue to go sideways."

Not MY market..

Just buy GLD, put on a 5% trailing stop and fuggedaboutit! If the American and world economies collapse like a house of cards, YOU'LL become insanely wealthy! Meanwhile, you make steady money. When your stop triggers, reassess.

Alghieri has never been able to defend a viewpoint.

What would you like me to defend? There two opposing viewpoints on this are quite clear...and i freely admit, I am not an economist...I just a posted an editorial...you took it and started to what amounts to a soliloquy full of ASS_umptions.

All

" The value of the dollar doesn't matter, does it? Just print more money. We'll pay for it later."

The value of the dollar is doing just fine.

Apparently you are of the opinion that, even though the house is on fire, we need to save the water for the future...
