Before they banned me on the Obama thread, I brought up the Russians' history in Afg. One of them wrote a pretty good account of it. He researched the red army's files. They actually kept much more open records than us. And he spent time there during their occupation. In summary, it reads just like what we're trying to do there now & what we thought we were trying to do in Viet Nam. We are the army of occupation. It's that simple. We need to leave.
