Do you happen to know what her teacher pension is as a percentage of her salary? Did she also get health care covered?

Instead of dealing with teacher's Pensions check out the
those of retired military.I have two ex. military.friends... 20 years I believe who live up here. They have so much money that it puts my pension to shame.

One was a Lt. Colonel and I think the other a naval officer and do not know the rank.

When I retired the amount of pension was determined by the number of years one put in and the salary at time of retirement.

Years later at a reunion I heard the guys figuring out what
my replacement would receive. It was double or triple what I got as the salaries in my district had skyrocketed since I left in 1985..

I think the military always paid much better. In fact I could have
joined the special services in 1952 at a salary much higher
than my social work salary.... but I refused the job.
