Bentway, > Where I part from Ten is that the stimulus is keeping people's heads above water, which makes it worthwhile for that reason.

I think I already pointed that out. "Stimulus" is being used to cushion the fall, but then it really should be called "safety net."

> Why should Ten ski in Europe when even ONE American family is starving?

Because I earned my money.

Why don't you get a job when even ONE American family is starving? Kind of stupid for you to pretend that you care about starving children when you yourself do nothing but flip real estate.

Today on NPR they said we have spent $27Bn training the Afghan
military to implement this COIN stuff, yup, $27Bn without a whimper from the teabaggers...no rallies, just more support the troops decals on their SUVs along with their "Drill Baby Drill" posters while the GOM dies.

This $27Bn compares to the Taliban, who don't train and only get paid with virgins when they die.

I also read today that the Pentagon has 27,000 just involved in PR and they spend something like $4Bn per year on that.

But spend on "stimulus" to keep American "people's heads above water" the Santelli's of the crazy right get prime time to scream...No, No...

Yup, we need to get those clowns who got us into this mess with their crazy wars etc., back into power in November, They can finish everyone off.

We need more Joe Barton apologies, Glenn Beck blackboard "history" lessons and Sara Palin visions of Russia.

OHMIGOSH!

Where I part from Ten is that the stimulus is keeping people's heads above water, which makes it worthwhile for that reason.

That's one piece of what it's doing. There are countless state workers who'd lose their jobs (I know for sure here in AL) if not for this money...a third was tax cuts which plays at the altar of GOP politics and theoretically puts some money out there, and there are projects that would not be done without the plan. One can't' prove a negative, which is the problem here...the absence of that proof gives the peanut gallery lots of opportunity for cheap shots.
