Pretty moth and obviously a camouflage technique. It also chose the white surface to rest on rather than the dark one.

I was sitting on my recliner reading today and something smelled just horrible. I had been outside earlier cleaning up after my dog, so I looked at my shoes.......they were clean. I got up from my chair to check the stove thinking one of the knobs was on and gas was leaking.

Nope!

I sat back down thinking I was hallucinating, but the smell was worse. It smelled like something had died, so I peeked out the window directly behind me. Perhaps a bird or rodent had died in the flower bed directly below the window.

Then I saw it!

The Voodoo Lily!

We got the lily from a friend at the beach in March. Brought it home and planted it next to the other lilies in the garden.

I hope they don't die.

She told us it was "rare" and smelled horrible.

She is right!

gggg
