The argument that partial birth abortion is sometimes necessary to protect the health of the mother can be answered by a simple question.

If a child's body except for its head is outside the mother's body and you have two choices, one being to move the body a few inches and cut the umbilical cord and the second being to keep the body in place and stick of pair of scissors into the child's head or crush the head and then sever the umbilical cord. How can choosing the birth option have any adverse effect on the health of the mother?

This establishes a pattern

she herself appears to have written the key language that eventually appeared in the ACOG report.

Just like they did with the Drilling Moratorium report. They don't like what the experts say, rewrite what they said.
