So, you're one of the "One World Government" conspiracy nuts? As for our "constitutional republic", I don't see it as a good to be saved. Seems to be a near total failure at the moment, a government by, of and for corporations. We have a Supreme Court, in theory our last line of defense, that seems intent on upholding and extending the rights of corporations. Show me where in our constitution corporations are even mentioned. This is a "conservative majority" court, "strict constructionists", so the "liberals" and their "activist judges" can't be blamed for this.
