Portland Police Re-Opening Gore Investigation

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Police say they are reopening an investigation into allegations by a Portland massage therapist that former Vice President Al Gore groped her at a hotel in 2006.

In a brief statement Wednesday, the Portland Police Bureau did not say why it was reopening the investigation. Police earlier said they considered the case closed because there was no evidence.

Also on Wednesday, a Gore spokeswoman said the former vice president ''unequivocally and emphatically'' denies making unwanted sexual advances toward the woman.
