The next election or two will see the end of the ultra-conservative movement and a move to the center by both Democrats and Republicans.

It has to be this way or the nation may not survive. Despite all the posturing there will come a day when serious tax increases and spending cuts are unavoidable. Partisan politics won't cut it then when the Chinese stop buying our bonds.
