In theory it does not matter to the economy whether
the Bic Mac costs $5 or $55, as long as it can keep growing.
So, if he aims to avoid big unemployment numbers by dropping
the salary of everyone else, it's understandable.

In practice, however, all kinds of criminal elements feed
off the printing press, the "first receivers" of the printed
money. That leads to crony capitalism that rewards risk takers
who should be punished, while distributing losses to the
public. That is very counter-productive and can lead to
a very long economic decline. -g/ng-
