I did a little looking around and found some web sites that mention this or that "bad" thing about Lincoln. I haven't read enough about his policies, habits, beliefs or desires to know for sure, but the way I look at it, there will always be people who want to do nothing more than smear the good name of people (or political parties) they don't particularly like. In the end he'll always be known as a great president.

I'd have to say I'd like some of the hookah they were smoking when they came up with those "facts".

Without doing any research, I'll note that if any of that was true we'd all know about it as Lincoln was the first Republican President. Since those "facts" would severely tarnish his image it's safe to think that politically opportunistic folks would have widely disseminated it decades ago.

I'd have that "friend" who said that about Lincoln give you some documentation for each of his "facts".....I'll bet he/she can't provide a single "fact" that is varifiable.
