Kartik Athreya, senior economist for the Richmond Fed, has written a paper condemning economic bloggers as chronically stupid and a threat to public order.

Which gives the government an interest in stifling it. No one who demonstrates such an abominable lack of understanding of the basic tenants of the US constitution should be allowed [irony] to write opinions about "threats to public order"
