Lindsey Graham: The Tea Party Will 'Die Out'

IT HAS NO 'COHERENT VISION,' SAYS SENATOR

(NEWSER) – Tea Partiers don't think much of Lindsey Graham because he's willing to work with Democrats on the occasional issue. The conservative South Carolina senator doesn't think much of them, either. “The problem with the Tea Party, I think it’s just unsustainable because they can never come up with a coherent vision for governing the country," he tells the New York Times in a profile for Sunday's magazine. "It will die out.”

Graham recounts a contentious meeting with one group in which he challenged them, "What do you want to do? You take back your country—and do what with it?’ .... Everybody went from being kind of hostile to just dead silent.”
