There are enough vestiges of a free market that they didn't do this sort of central planning. I'm sorry -- me not in the Mad Max camp.

I do believe "appropriate technology" is great and we will have it if the government butts out. I like wind and solar for diversity -- as a large fraction with the remaining reserves? -- not now, thank you.

Mass transit -- why not in densely populated areas.

Get the gasoline price back up to 4.00 and I'll have a buddy on my commute in the fall. No problems.

Everybody wants a government program to "fix it" -- not needed -- they can't pick the right program if they tried.
