If they get enough of those giant windmills along the Columbia, half of Oregon is going to take off and fly away. Or maybe Washington.

They don't think those things have an environmental impact? How about visual pollution?

After years of looking I have finally found a carpenter worth his salt. He's a young Mennonite and, I swear he can do anything and do it well.

Anyway, he has talked me into letting him build me a water wheel to supply electricity to the house. It won't be a lot because the spring only flows about 5-7 gpm on average but it should be better than a poke in the eye with a sharp stick. I'm quite thrilled by the idea.
