The only way I can figure it is that Pelosi must be some kind of idiot savant, ignorant of everything but the machinations of power on the Hill.

That's the most spot on observation of Nancy I've read. I can understand her having a safe seat, given her looney constituency. But navigating her way to the Top O'The Hill while being the most reviled woman in American politics is something more abnormal than rational. What does it say about the elected congress that seems to cow before such a radical? Scary.

What does that say about the people who fall for her machinations?

I'd say just an idiot. I don't see the savant. She gets bills passed but she has a majority.

ignorant of everything but the machinations of power on the Hill

A trait that infects most of these vermin sooner or later.

Just read where Lindsey Graham says ( tinyurl.com ) the Tea Party is unsustainable and will fade because it lacks vision. Lacks vision???

"We" elect these morons who have no understanding of the proper constraints on their role.

It's either this: Pelosi must be some kind of idiot savant.. or she's the true village idiot. Some of the various statements she has made recently, make the jokes about the 'dim bulbs' seem like the 'dim bulbs' should appear absolutely brilliant, by comparison.

These so called leaders are supposed to be leaders for our country, including our children. Even children know the difference between wise comments, and stupid comments.

Wise parents would help reinforce the lesson here by:

--Having their kids learn a bit about entrepreneurship. Start a little Kool Aid stand. Help the kids by funding their first batch.

--Kids do well, and sell lots of glasses of Kool Aid.

--Then they have to buy supplies out of their money.

--Oops….they go out of business….outgo, doesn't match income. Kids close up shop.

--Mom and Dad give kids an "unemployment amount" about 1/6 of what they had made with free supplies. Mom and Dad also tell kids what Nancy Pelosi just said.

--Now kids have to pay Mom and Dad a bit from their money for 'overhead' plus for some supplies for the KA stand.

--They discover there isn't enough money. And certainly not enough money to invest in someone else's Kool Aid stand as well as their own.

--Mom and Dad give the kids Nancy Pelosi's phone number so they can tell her what they think of her "professional expertise" as it relates to their own experience.
