Actually, I agree with ted...R's killed it and its a good thing. We should not be spending more $$$ we do not have when benefits have been out there for 99 weeks already. This massive Obama debt and spending is unsustainable....and while the R's may have come late to the altar of fiscal sanity, better late than neer. Idiots like ted would favor a perpetual dole. We are broke. Its time we started to act like we are broke.

Killing this latest extension is something to be proud of, not ashamed of.

* Right-wing ophthalmologist Rand Paul, the Republican Senate hopeful in Kentucky, told supporters this week that the country is approaching "a day of reckoning." I'm not sure what he means by that, but given Paul's radicalism, it's not encouraging.

* Speaking of extremists seeking statewide office, Minnesota gubernatorial candidate Tom Emmer (R) hates government spending, but he'll accept public financing for his campaign.
