Japanese have a very different "structure" from ours. For example, most of them don't want to create big turbulence, therefore, they put all faith in their government. Also, they have very good trade surplus which can fund some of their spending. It is just the matter of confidence in their currency. Once that is lost all hell will break loose. This is the same game at here as well..."pretend and extend....and smash gold". ha

Gold has value in either inflation or deflation. IMO this is just trading in the midst of a general market decline.
