Jane, so true about the Holy Spirit. Without the Holy Spirit and the Power He brings then how would apostles who couldn't even say they knew Jesus right after His death be turned into those that Jesus referred to as "doing greater works than His". And, all the Apostles except John died a death that was as grusome as the death Jesus took physically. Some of the Apostles even died in a matter worst than Jesus since Thomas was flayed alive. ....Poor little doubting Thomas (don't we wish that we were that strong in our doubts)<gg> The big difference is the Apostle didn't have to die and descend. Remember we've already covered that one(did Jesus die and go to Hades for a period)<gg> But, what about John..well they tried to kill him by boiling him in oil,,didn't work. He ended up blind and sent to Patmos where he recieved the book of Revelation.
