Easier to do if you are such a tiny place. Indeed, the comparison people like to make with individual nations doesn't resonate with me, and most especially the smaller that nation is. I think it's worth knowing what Sweden, or Ireland, or Latvia does, did, or plans to do but the US must fashion remedies that fit our unique profile. As for Krugman, maybe he got himself in a corner when he wrote Conscience of a Liberal. Now he's got to present all his ideas and rec from within the classic liberal ideology, whether it fits current circumstances or not.
