There is no doubt in my mind that over consumption of natural resources results in damage to the environment and that it can effect the climate, effecting human beings, other living creatures, and natural elements. On a short term basis we can consider the effects of smog, which is just an artificial dirty cloud, don't we all know about the Oklahoma Dust Bowl etc etc etc.

There are very good reasons to look at the information being provided by scientists and consider what our roll is in causing damage the environment, and even if damage is not the fault of human beings, if there is some course we can adopt to have a positive impact on unhealthy situations.

However, we know there are religious scholars who turn out to be the most immoral characters, we know there are political leaders who turn out to be self serving radicals, we know there are unethical scientists, and we know there are people in big business who turn out to be con artists preying on human crisis and suffering. Put that all together and you get Al Gore pocketing Billions on investments in green business which has not turned a penny's profit for the investors, and likely wont do much to improve the climate.

I would like to see the debate offered by Newt Gingrich, in which all sides of this issue could be seen on one stage and presented to the public schools and universities.

First, science isn't something where voting counts.

Second, most of the "thousands of scientists" are simply going along with what they're told the concensus is, not making thousands of independent objective assessments.

The fact that we can see studies putting forth mutually contradictory positions - that extinction of the mammoths caused warming AND caused cooling - shows that we have an atmosphere where a lot of scientific studies are horseshit ..... but horseshit shaped to magnify any suggestion that human activity affects the climate of the earth.

Except you seem to want to ignore that the actual facts for the past decade or so back up the scientists:
