We have had many posts here outlining the huge structural deficits that the Bush years left for the country to deal with, plus the credit bubble collapse that his gross deregulation and negligence saddled us with.

For Republicans to suddenly become virtuous and obstructive over a principle they never practiced, at the expense of the unemployed they helped to knock out of their jobs, is disgusting.

There is no rational or principled prioritization in their actions; it's just posturing for political effect with the false promise that if they get back in power, they will be oh so different next time.

Personally, I think that is crap.
