John Kenneth Gailbraith wrote the definitive book on the great depression. He said it was caused by a great unregulated ponzi scheme. companies arose with nothing but stock of other companies. House of cards. Same thing with this depression: unregulated CDS and CDO's collaped and froze the credit markets. The reason Bush gave AIG 182 billion no questions asked. But what does on do then after this happens? Kids are starving is the bottom line. Get the kids fed first and then screw around with theories I say.
